Monte Bellini

The double Bundeschampion

Monte Bellini has managed a feat that no other stallion has managed before: in 2008 under Philipp Weishaupt he defended his title as Bundeschampion of five-year old show jumpers again in the class for six-year olds. The judges were full of praise for his rideability and exemplary jumping ability which were rewarded scores higher than 9.0.  Before the Bundeschampionat he had won a number of elementary (L) and medium (M) level classes for young show jumpers. In 2009 when the breeding season is over, he will enter his first competitions in the international Youngster Tour. Monte Bellini has sired foal crops that are snatched right up. Monte Pulciano, who is from his first crop, was crowned the best horse at the Neustädter Schaufenster.

His sire Montender was a double European Champion and bronze medal winner at the Olympic Games. His dam Ramira, who won ribbons in medium (M) level show jumping classes and has "Performance Mare / Show Jumping" status, also produced three other show jumpers that competed in medium level classes as well as another licensed son, Conte Bellini (by Cornet Obolensky), who was nearly a perfect sensation in 2008 in Warendorf when he became Vice Bundeschampion of five-year old show jumpers. The dam's sire Ramiro is a true European stallion. The granddam Woldona is also the dam of a licensed stallion named Rotary (by Ramiro) who successfully competes in advanced (S) level dressage. Through the Hanoverian jumper-makers Wendekreis, Wiesenbaum xx and Ferdinand, the dam line goes back to the mare line of Javenda which is also known for the licensed stallions Grandenstern, Baryschnikov, Donnerbube I, II and III, Welton and the successful Grand Prix dressage sire Margue H/Hannes Baumgart as well as the sport horses Wapiti/Fritz Ligges, Le Mans/Markus Beerbaum, Lesotho/Ellen Schulten-Baumer and Wansuela suerte/Hubertus Schmidt.
