Pure jumper performance
In 1992, his sire, Coriano, was leased by the Holstein Verband to Baden-Württemberg for two years. In 1996 Coriano won silver at the Bundeschampionat. When he was seven, he placed in S-level to Grand Prix. The end of 2002 he was leased to the Belgian Gestüt Zangersheide where he won the championships for junior riders under Judy Ann Melchior. In 2004 he returned to Holstein. So far, Coriano has sired 17 licensed sons and numerous off-spring that have been highly successful in sport such as the current team world champion in show jumping, Van Schindel’s Curtis/Piet Raymakers/NED. The dam, Romanze, produced successful dressage horses as well as jumpers by various stallions. The dam's sire, Ricardo, Elite stallion in Baden-Württemberg, produced four licensed sons of which Ringo Starr/Ludwig Ziegler, Risandro/Samatha McIntosh/BUL and Ratsherr/Toni Hassmann compete internationally. Through the Thoroughbred stallion Ladykiller, the third generation sire, Labrador, is a three-quarter brother of Landgraf, a stallion of the century. The third generation dam, Tänzerin, produced a licensed stallion named Rico (by Ricardo; State Stud Marbach). Cyrano de Bergerac comes from the Hanoverian performance line of Ahnenflamme (by Ahoi-Dekan, etc.) which is also known for the double Bundeschampion, Rusti (PB Oldenburg).
